The Last male Sumatran rhino in Sabah has passed away.

"Tam" a male Sumatran rhino who was estimated to be 35 years old passed away in Malaysia after a chronic illness. He passed away surrounded by the team that has cared with him since 2008 and the IRKA sends their condolences to the government of Sabah and the dedicated team at the Borneo Rhino Alliance. Less than 80 animals exist today and IRKA has contributed funds for camera traps to help locate populations.
